KOALA DISCOVERS THAT ITS HOME WAS DESTROYED - This photo is of a confused Koala who had returned to the site of its former home. The area was subject to logging operations and most of the trees in the area were cut down. A volunteer from the Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc. (WIRES) snapped the photo and later transported the kohala to a koala habitat.

“Koalas would have been moved out of their homes in preparation for planned logging activities in the nearby State Forest. It is common for koalas to roam back to their home range afterwards and become confused to find nothing there,” says Leanne Taylor, General Manager of WIRES NSW.
“A worker noticed a koala had been sitting stationary in broad daylight on top of wood piles for over an hour.

“For those who work for the animals, the most feared thing is to see them in a state of extreme suffering. This is a tribute to those who are facing hell to document a hidden reality.  Thanks to activists who have filmed and photographed the unimaginable. I have great admiration for them. ♥”

I have so much respect for people like her, because I know, I couldn’t stand this.
Thank you for going through hell, to open our eyes!

veganet:

Dogs in South Korea / cows in the global dairy and meat industry / pigs in the meat industry / chickens in the egg and meat industry … The list goes on.

Speciesism is always ugly.
This has nothing to do with the “bad Asian people”.
It’s our global, speciesist, anthropocentrist dogma that makes a difference between “animals” and “people”.

All forms of life strive for self-actualization, security, comfort, freedom, social bonds and happiness.
Speciesism and anthropocentrism are ideologies that humans made up in order to justify their domination over other species and the planet.

We don’t need to continue this insanity.
And we shouldn’t, because
we are enslaving ourselves by enslaving others.

Liberate yourself : Help others.
Liberate animals. Go vegan. Stay vegan.
At least: eat vegan whenever you can.
It’s easy and it makes a difference.

Tell your local corporations what you want to eat:
vegan burgers, vegan raw food, vegan everything.

Vegan food doesn’t harm.
You say plants have feelings too?

Farmed animals are forced to eat a lot of grain and soy.
Humans kill more than 55 billion animals each year, globally.
These have been fed before they were turned into meat.

We can feed all the people on this planet with that amount of grain and soy.
So, by going vegan, you will cause also much less damage to plants. You will be wasting fewer plants than a meat eater and lacto-ovo-vegetarian.

You can also eat as fruitarian as possible: nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables that don’t require the death of the plant.

You can do many great things and help this planet and all the species on it by switching to love and respect for all life. Eating a vegan diet will be a natural part of that. It’s not a big thing, but it makes a huge difference.

Raise your consumer-voice for the voiceless.

noneofthismatters:

On Saturday night, the ALF emptied a small fur farm approximately two hours from Washington DC. All 13 foxes on the farm were released. According to the communique posted by the North American Animal Liberation Press Office, the ALF also damaged equipment at the farm. The farm bordered Shenandoah National Park, where the foxes returned to their natural habitat.
